As a business director, building owner or property manager you will know that portable fire extinguishers play a key part in ensuring you comply with the most basic risk assessment.
What you might not know is that it’s not quite that simple. No single extinguisher is totally effective on every kind of fire and using the wrong one can make the fire worse.
We help you select the right extinguishers for your premises and ensure that if they ever need to be used, they work.

Current building regulations state that all non-domestic buildings with more than one storey must provide refuge areas – safe areas where people who cannot easily use fire escapes and evacuation lifts can both call for assistance and wait until help arrives.
Typically used in a fire emergency our disabled refuge systems allow voice communication in either direction between a central control point and number of other points throughout the building. These enable the fire and rescue service to assist people out of the building in the event of an emergency.

Smoke is often the biggest killer in fires, and can spread through an entire building in just a few minutes. Automatic Opening Vents (AOVs) are crucial to keep access areas clear if there is an emergency, protecting those inside from smoke inhalation and providing the clearest evacuation routes.
An AOV system is designed to create and maintain a smoke free layer above the floor, reducing smoke and heat build-up in a burning building.
We can provide a fully compliant AOV system, including a mechanical smoke and heat exhaust ventilation window with louvre and damper door options.

Our priority is to protect you and your business. We know our customers don’t have an in-depth knowledge of fire safety. That’s why we do. We try to keep things simple and help you achieve an outcome that protects you, your people and your business.
Most fires are preventable. Legislation states all businesses must provide a suitable risk assessment and ensure it is reviewed and updated. Once the risks have been identified you can either seek to manage them or try to avoid them altogether. The aim being to minimise the risk of injury or loss in the event of a fire, better still to prevent it happening in the first place.
In order to comply with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, fire door installation and maintenance is a key requirement for every business.
Helping you provide a safe working environment, fire doors can be used to separate escape routes from hazards aiding an emergency evacuation.
Six-monthly inspections are recommended by BS 9999 in addition to the monthly inspection checks outlined within UK government guidance documentation.
Our fire door inspections involve assessment of each door’s structural integrity and passive protection features. Gap threshold measurements are also taken between the door and frame, with each inspection will also include assessment of the fire door safety signage.
You want to spend your time focusing on your business. We get that. We also fully understand the day-to-day challenges that our customers face regarding compliance and asset management.
Via our compliance portal we provide asset management services which offer detailed asset recording and asset management to your team. Our aim is to help you improve the way that your organisation records, assesses and manages regulatory actions and compliance requirements.
